Hey there! I'm Katelyn, owner of Events by Katelyn, LLC. Born in Adana, Turkey and raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina. I currently live in Pikeville with my partner and our dog, Thor.
I graduated from Wayne Community College with my degree in Business Administration a certificate in Marketing. While working towards my degree, I worked in the legal field as a Paralegal. I enjoyed my time in that industry and made friendships with attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
In 2022 I officially started as a party rental business after planning and decorating a bridal shower in 2021. I remember my senior year in high school, my homeroom teacher asked me what I wanted to do after graduation. I told him I wanted to be a party planner. Somewhere along the line, my dream got lost in the stress and busyness of life. The bridal shower I did brought up the feelings I had for planning and decorating, and I knew I couldn't push them aside again.
After months of thinking, prayer and difficult conversations, I made the decision to leave my Paralegal position in July of 2022 and go full time with my event business. I have no doubt in my mind that this was an amazing decision, as I have NEVER been happier!!
